You will be picked up at 7 or 7:30 a.m from your hotel/ Riad in Marrakech by one of our staff, Our drive will then take us across the High Atlas Mountains. The rugged beauty and height of these peaks will have you glued to the window in our minibus as we snake through the mountain roads. There are several small Berber villages along the route and we will get a chance to stop a take some photographs of the elevated scenery before making our way to the Kasbah at Ait Ben Haddou. It will be another couple of hours before we reach here but the scenery will remain stunning throughout. The UNESCO-listed Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou. Its adobe houses are divided by mysterious passageways and intricate light patterns. For breathtaking views, climb through the narrow stone alleyways to the summit.
Our day will continue by visiting the impressive film studios of Ouarzazate, the Hollywood of Morocco, where scenes of Gladiator (2000), Lawrence of Arabia (1962), The Living Daylights (1987), The Last Temptation of Christ (1988), The Mummy (1999), Kingdom of Heaven (2005), Kundun (1997), Legionnaire (1998), Hanna (2011), and Salmon Fishing in the Yemen (2011)… were shot.
In the afternoon, you will start your way back via the Tizi n’Tichka, arrive at Marrakech later in the evening.
