Visit the UNESCO-listed Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, the Valley of the Roses, and Tinghir, as well as traditional Berber communities around the Todra Gorge, before embarking on a camel journey over Morocco’s highest dunes, the Erg Chebbi, and sleeping beneath the stars in a Berber tent at the camp.

Day 1

Marrakech– Tizi-N-Tichka – Ait Benhaddou – Ouarzazate – Dades Gorges

Our staff will pick you up from your hotel in Marrakech around ~7:30 am and take you to the departure point in the main square, Jamaa El Fna.

Departure around 7:45 am, crossing the High Atlas mountains and Col Tichka at 2260m, visiting the Kasbah Ait Benhaddou, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and having lunch at Ouarzazate. You will traverse the Skoura oasis, Kalaat M’gouna, and the Valley of Roses to reach the Dadès Valley.

Stay the night in a hotel in Dadès on half board (dinner and breakfast the next day included).

Day 2

Dades Gorges – Tenghir – Todra Gorges – Tinjdad – Erfoud – Merzouga

After breakfast at your hotel, leave the gorges of Dades for Erg Chebbi, at the gateway to the Sahara desert. See the Berber villages scattered along the way; have lunch at one of the roadside restaurants; and pass through Tinjdad, Jorf, and Erfoud to get a sense of the Saharan landscape. See the oasis of Tafilalet before your arrival in Merzouga. Break to relax in Merzouga for a few moments. As the sun sets, we climb on the back of a camel for 1 hour and 30 minutes and cross the sand dunes en route to a nomadic Berber camp. See the sand dunes and the desert landscape from a timeless perspective as you listen to the camp drums in the desert in the middle of the Sahara.

Take photos of the breathtaking sunset from the top of a high dune. Then, go to camp to enjoy the night in a nomad camp with a bonfire and berber music dance, resting under the starry sky, before you fall asleep. (dinner and breakfast the next day included)
