Full Description

You will never be bored because there is so much scenery to admire. On this three-day adventure desert excursion from Marrakech to Merzouga and Fes,. Enjoy the lovely road, gorgeous landscapes with a variety of colors, and Berber settlements along the journey from Ouarzazate. You will visit the UNESCO sites Kasbah in Ait Ben Haddou and Taourirt, then continue through the oasis, palm groves, and gorges, crossing the valleys and dry rives to Merzouga to enjoy a camel trek for a beautiful sunset over the sand dunes, and overnight in a desert camp under the stars while enjoying a traditional Moroccan dinner. Continue via Midelt and the Switzerland of Morocco, Ifran, till you reach the lovely city of Fes.

Day 1

Marrakech– Tizi-N-Tichka – Ait Benhaddou – Ouarzazate – Dades Gorges

Around 7:15 to 7:45 am, members of our staff will come get you from your Marrakech hotel and take you to the departure point, which is the main square, Jamaa El Funa.

Begin by taking the High Atlas Mountains and Col Tichka at 2260 metres, followed by a visit to the UNESCO World Heritage Site Kasbah Ait Benhaddou and lunch in Ouarzazate. To reach the Dadès Valley, travel through the Skoura oasis, Kalaat M’gouna, and the Valley of Roses.

At a Dadès standard hotel, spend the night in your private room with half board (dinner and breakfast).

Day 2

Dades Gorges – Tenghir – Todra Gorges – Tinjdad – Erfoud – Merzouga

Leave the Dades Canyon and head toward Erg Chebbi, the entry point to the Sahara desert, after eating breakfast at your hotel. Get a sense of the Saharan terrain by traveling through Tinjdad, Jorf, and Erfoud and seeing the Berber villages strewn along the route. Upon arriving in Merzouga, visit the Tafilalet oasis. Take a brief break to unwind in Merzouga. Our journey to a nomadic Berber camp involves riding a camel for one hour and thirty minutes as the sun sets and crossing sand dunes. Listen to the camp drums in the middle of the Sahara desert while taking in the timeless view of the sand dunes and surrounding landscape.

With your camera, capture the magnificent sunset from the top of a tall dune. Following that, make your way to the camp to spend the night in your own tent, complete with breakfast and dinner, under the starry sky and Berber music while dancing around a bonfire in a nomadic camp.

Day 3

Merzouga – Ouarzazate – Marrakech

Watch the sunrise over the dunes when you get up early in the morning. Take a camel ride back to Merzouga, where you can eat breakfast at the Auberge. After breakfast, get ready for the next day’s studies and set out on your journey to Fes, where you will swap drivers but never the performance. It will take some time off before you knock on Fes in order to facilitate the switch to the new van.

The route takes you across the Ziz Valley through Errachidia or Ighrem n Ulzuz, which translates to Ksar Essouk. You will pause in Midelt to satisfy the hunger of your travel spirit before continuing on to the Middle Atlas Mountains and the pine woods’ jewels, Imouzzar and Ifran, which are referred to as “Little Switzerland” in Morocco.

At about 6:00 p.m., we arrive in Fes.
