Spending a night in the Sahara Desert is an unforgettable experience for visitors to Morocco and this three-day tour lets you travel further and explore more along the way. Visit UNESCO-listed Ait Ben Haddou, the Valley of the Roses, and Tinghir ; stop at traditional Berber villages around the Todra Gorge; then take a camel trek through the Erg Chebbi dunes the highest in Morocco and sleep under a starry sky at the camp in the Berber tent.
Day 1
Marrakech– Tizi-N-Tichka –
Ait Benhaddou – Ouarzazate – Dades Gorges
6 HOURS DRIVE
Our staff will pick you up from your Hotel in Marrakech around ~ 7:10 to 7:30 am and escort you to the departure point which is located in the main square Jamaa El Funa.
Departure around 7:45 am, crossing the High Atlas mountains and Col Tichka of 2260m, visit of the Kasbah Ait Benhaddou that is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, lunch at Ouarzazate,You will traverse Skoura oasis, Kalaat M’gouna, the Valley of Roses to reach the Dadès Valley.
Stay the night in a hotel in Dadès on half board (dinner & breakfast) included.
After breakfast at your hotel, leave the gorges of Dades for Erg Chebbi at the gateway to the Sahara desert. See the Berber villages scattered along the way, and pass through Tinjdad, Jorf and Erfoud to get a feel for the Saharan landscape. See the oasis of Tafilalet before your arrival in Merzouga. Break to relax in Merzouga for a few moments, as the sun sets we climb on the back of a camels for 1h:30min and cross the sand dunes en route to a nomadic Berber camp. See the sand dunes and the desert landscape in a timeless perspective as you listen to the camp drums in the desert in the middle of the Sahara.
Take pictures of the spectacular sunset from the top of a high dune. Then, go to camp to enjoy the night in a nomad camp with bonefire and berber music dance, resting under the starry sky, before you fall a sleep.
Wake up in the early morning to watch the sunrise over the dunes. Ride your camel back to Merzouga to have breakfast at the Auberge.
Pick up the rest of your luggage and begin your journey back to Marrakech by Ouarzazate, lunch can be taken at some restaurant in the road, arriving at Marrakech in the evening around 20:00.

Marrakech to Merzouga is 565 km, first night you will sleep in Dades valley and reach Merzouga on second day. Day 3 you will spend driving back to Marrakech
The minibus has a large trunk, so there will be no problem to take your excess luggage with you, on the 2nd night at the sahara you can leave it in the minibus overnight.
Just make sure to bring a rucksack handy to take with you to the camp.

The camel trek lasts for about 1 hour to 1 h and half, depending on the season, daylight, etc.

If we Arrive early at Merzouga on the 2nd day evening, we can pass to the Auberge, Other way, we just drive to the camels location, as we aim for the sunset.
