An unforgettable and exciting 3 Days excursion
Make the most of the spectacular trip from Fez to Marrakech on a 3 days/ 2 nights, private tour that explores dunes, Berber culture, towering gorges, and historic fortified kasbahs, including Ait Benhaddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Fes – Midelt – Erfoud – Merzouga
After breakfast in your Riad or Hotel, our private tour begins with a drive towards the Atlas Mountains stopping to visit the village Ifrane, where we’ll get a chance to explore the famous cedar forest, home to the Berber apes.
We’ll then continue through the Tiz Ntalghamt Mountain Pass and the Ziz Gorge (here we can stop for pictures and some local mint tea) to Midelt.
Our drive proceeds across the Ziz Valley, Erfoud, and Rissani; an oasis.
Merzouga – Erfoud – Tinghir – Dades Valley
We’ll fetch an early start to catch the sunrise in the Merzouga desert, and then return on camel back to the village.
From there, we’ll leave for Tinghir, to reach the Todra Gorge, which is the highest, narrowest gorge in Morocco.
Here we may stop to hike within the valley, and after lunch in the gorge we will continue on to the Dades Gorge, where we’ll enjoy sand castles and also geological features called “Monkey toes/feet”. We’ll spend the night in the Dades Gorge, at a local standard Hotel which will include a complimentary dinner and breakfast.
Dades Valley – Ouarzazate – Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou – Marrakech
After breakfast at Dades Hotel, we’ll drive towards Marrakech passing through the route of a thousand Kasbahs (fortresses).
We’ll stop at Kalaat Mgouna; the center of The Valley of Roses, and famous rose plantation.
Visit one of the rose growers’ cooperatives and discover how the workers mix distilled rose water to create scents.
Continue your drive to Ouarzazate, and meet your local guide to introduce you the UNESCO listed Kasbah Ait ben Haddou and the history behind it as well as the art it serves.
