We do arrange this Tour on one day, to suit our Guest’s schedule.
This journey involves a spectacular opportunity to see a great deal of Morocco all within one full day. It is the ideal trip for those who do not wish to spend a few nights sleeping out in the desert and want to be back in Marrakech for an evening eating out.
At 190 Km, from Marrakech by crossing the hight Atlas Mountain, one day Trip to the UNISCO Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou and Ouarzazate.

Itinerary

1Day: Marrakech - ATLAS MOUNTAINS – KASBAH AIT BEN HADDOU – OUARZAZATE - Marrakech

You will be picked up at 7 or 7:30 a.m from your hotel/ Riad in Marrakech by one of our staff, Our drive will then take us across the High Atlas Mountains. The rugged beauty and height of these peaks will have you glued to the window in our minibus as we snake through the mountain roads. There are several small Berber villages along the route and we will get a chance to stop a take some photographs of the elevated scenery before making our way to the Kasbah at Ait Ben Haddou. It will be another couple of hours before we reach here but the scenery will remain stunning throughout. The UNESCO-listed Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou. Its adobe houses are divided by mysterious passageways and intricate light patterns. For breathtaking views, climb through the narrow stone alleyways to the summit.
Our day will continue by visiting the impressive film studios of Ouarzazate, the Hollywood of Morocco, where scenes of Gladiator (2000), Lawrence of Arabia (1962), The Living Daylights (1987), The Last Temptation of Christ (1988), The Mummy (1999), Kingdom of Heaven (2005), Kundun (1997), Legionnaire (1998), Hanna (2011), and Salmon Fishing in the Yemen (2011)… were shot.
In the afternoon, you will start your way back via the Tizi n’Tichka, arrive at Marrakech later in the evening.

Day 1

Marrakech– Tizi-N-Tichka – Ait Benhaddou – Ouarzazate – Dades Gorges
  • 6 HOURS DRIVE
Our staff will pick you up from your Hotel in Marrakech around ~ 7:10 to 7:30 am and escort you to the departure point which is located in the main square Jamaa El Funa.​
Departure around 7:45 am, crossing the High Atlas mountains and Col Tichka of 2260m, visit of the Kasbah Ait Benhaddou that is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, lunch at Ouarzazate,You will traverse Skoura oasis, Kalaat M’gouna, the Valley of Roses to reach the Dadès Valley.
Stay the night in a hotel in Dadès on half board (dinner & breakfast) included.

Dades Gorges – Tenghir – Todra Gorges – Tinjdad – Erfoud – Merzouga

After breakfast at your hotel, leave the gorges of Dades for Erg Chebbi at the gateway to the Sahara desert. See the Berber villages scattered along the way, and pass through Tinjdad, Jorf and Erfoud to get a feel for the Saharan landscape. See the oasis of Tafilalet before your arrival in Merzouga. Break to relax in Merzouga for a few moments, as the sun sets we climb on the back of a camels for 1h:30min and cross the sand dunes en route to a nomadic Berber camp. See the sand dunes and the desert landscape in a timeless perspective as you listen to the camp drums in the desert in the middle of the Sahara.
Take pictures of the spectacular sunset from the top of a high dune. Then, go to camp to enjoy the night in a nomad camp with bonefire and berber music dance, resting under the starry sky, before you fall a sleep.

Day 3

Merzouga – Ouarzazate – Marrakech
  • 9 HOURS DRIVE
Wake up in the early morning to watch the sunrise over the dunes. Ride your camel back to Merzouga to have breakfast.
Pick up the rest of your luggage and begin your journey back to Marrakech by Ouarzazate, lunch can be taken at some restaurant in the road, arriving at Marrakech in the evening around 20:00.

Marrakech to Merzouga is 565 km, first night you will sleep in Dades valley and reach Merzouga on second day. Day 3 you will spend driving back to Marrakech
The minibus has a large trunk, so there will be no problem to take your excess luggage with you, on the 2nd night at the sahara you can leave it in the minibus overnight.

Just make sure to bring a rucksack handy to take with you to the camp.

The estimated arrival time back to Marrakech is around 20:00, however it depends on the traffic and weather conditions.
The camel trek lasts for about 1 hour to 1 h and half, depending on the season, daylight, etc.

Depends as well on where we started camel trek from, Auberge or camels location!

If we Arrive early at Merzouga on the 2nd day evening, we can pass to the Auberge, Other way, we just drive to the camels location, as we aim for the sunset.

Merzouga – Midelt – Ifran – Fes
  • 8 HOURS DRIVE
Wake up in the early morning to watch the sunrise over the dunes. Ride your camel back to Merzouga to have breakfast, then get study for a fresh day start faraway from Merzouga on your way to Fes where you change the driver but you never change the performance. Before you knock on Fes a time off will be necessary to smooth the transition to the new van.
The driving road is to cross the Ziz Vlley through Errachidia or Ighrem n Ulzuz meaning Ksar Essouk to stop Midelt to feed your travel soul’s hungry belly before driving across the Middle Atlas Mountains and the gems of the pine woods i.e Imouzzar and Ifran known in Morocco as a “Little Switzerland”.
We arrive in Fes at around 18:00 pm.

This day is your opportunity to explore the Sahara and maybe live the life of nomad people, far away from the all cities noise, cars pollution, tall building, and lightings.
Around 5pm, a new passengers will arrive Merzouga from Marrakech, you will have the chance to repeat your unforgettable experience and climb on the back of a camels for 1h:30min enjoying the sunset, cross the sand dunes en route to a nomadic Berber camp. See the sand dunes and the desert landscape in a timeless perspective as you listen to the camp drums in the desert in the middle of the Sahara.

Day 1

Marrakech– Tizi-N-Tichka – Ait Benhaddou – Ouarzazate – Dades Gorges

Our staff will pick you up from your Hotel in Marrakech around ~ 7:10 to 7:30 am and escort you to the departure point which is located in the main square Jamaa El Funa.​
Departure around 7:45 am, crossing the High Atlas mountains and Col Tichka of 2260m, visit of the Kasbah Ait Benhaddou that is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, lunch at Ouarzazate,You will traverse Skoura oasis, Kalaat M’gouna, the Valley of Roses to reach the Dadès Valley.

Wake up in the early morning to watch the sunrise over the dunes.
Ride your camel back to Merzouga to have breakfast at the Auberge, you will have time to refresh your body by taking shower.
This day is your opportunity to explore the Sahara and maybe live the life of nomad people, far away from the all cities noise, cars pollution, tall building, and lightings.
Around 5pm, a new passengers will arrive Merzouga from Marrakech, you will have the chance to repeat your unforgettable experience and climb on the back of a camels for 1h:30min enjoying the sunset, cross the sand dunes en route to a nomadic Berber camp. See the sand dunes and the desert landscape in a timeless perspective as you listen to the camp drums in the desert in the middle of the Sahara.
Take pictures of the spectacular sunset from the top of a high dune. Then, go camping to enjoy your 2nd night in a nomad camp with bonfire and berber music entertainment, resting under the starry sky, before you fall asleep.

Merzouga – Midelt – Ifran – Fes
  • 8 HOURS DRIVE
Wake up in the early morning to watch the sunrise over the dunes. Ride your camel back to Merzouga to have breakfast at the Auberge in Merzouga, then get study for a fresh day start farawy from Merzouga on your way to Fes where you change the driver but you never change the performance. Before you knock on Fes a time off will be necessary to smooth the transition to the new van.
The driving road is to cross the Ziz Vlley through Errachidia or Ighrem n Ulzuz meaning Ksar Essouk to stop Midelt to feed your travel soul’s hungry belly before driving across the Middle Atlas Mountains and the gems of the pine woods i.e Imouzzar and Ifran known in Morocco as a “Little Switzerland”.
We arrive in Fes at around 18:00 pm.

3 DAYS DESERT TOUR

Marrakech to Merzouga is 565 km, first night you will sleep in Dades valley and reach Merzouga on second day. Day 3 you will spend driving back to Marrakech
The minibus has a large trunk, so there will be no problem to take your excess luggage with you, on the 2nd night at the sahara you can leave it in the minibus overnight.

Just make sure to bring a rucksack handy to take with you to the camp.

* Jeans for the camel trekking ( shorts & skirts are not recommended, as the camel saddles are itchy, and can cause skin irritation )

A shared triple or quadruple rooms (with private bathroom) are going to be available for the 1st night at the standard Hotel.

A shared quadruple tents (with the same gender) are going to be available for the the 2nd night at the standard berber camp.

Shared Shower, western toilets & washing sinks are available outside tents.
A shared triple or quadruple rooms and Tents are included in the tour price (Standard accommodations).

However, it is possible to get a private room and tent with some extra fee, please check the standard accommodations (Standard Hotel & Standard Camp) for more details.
Yes you can Upgrade your first night to a Luxury Hotel and also your second night to a Luxury Berber Camp, please check before you complete your booking.
The estimated arrival time back to Marrakech is around 20:00, however it depends on the traffic and weather conditions.
The camel trek lasts for about 1 hour to 1 h and half, depending on the season, daylight, etc.

Depends as well on where we started camel trek from, Auberge or camels location!

If we Arrive early at Merzouga on the 2nd day evening, we can pass to the Auberge, Other way, we just drive to the camels location, as we aim for the sunset.
Shared shower is available now.

So yes you can take shower at Merzouga Sahara camp.

Live the life of a Berber for a night on a safari in the desert 2 days in Zagora and the Draa Valley of Marrakech.

 

Day 1

MARRAKECH – AIT BENHADDOU – OUARZAZATE – DRAA VALLEY -ZAGORA DESERT
  • 7 HOURS DRIVE
Our staff will pick you up from your Hotel in Marrakech around ~ 7:00 to ~7:30 am and escort you to the departure point which is located in the main square Jamaa El Funa.
So, we request you to be ready and waiting at the lobby of your Hotel or Riad before pick up timing.
By your private air-conditioned minivan, will head towards the high Atlas Mountains on the Tichka Pass, which is about 2600m, a winding, scenic drive with stunning views.
You will make your first stop at the old and beautiful Kasbah Ait Benhaddou, fill the desert mountains. After that, you can visit Ouarzazate – the city at the gates of the Sahara.
We leave for Zagora via Agdez and through the beautiful valley of Draa.
Arrival in Zagora, change the minibus for the dromedaries to admire the sunset and spend the night under the tent.
Dinner and night in a bivouac berber camp in your private tent under the starry sky, and berber music entertainment for sure.

Day 2

ZAGORA DUNES – AGDEZ – OUARZAZATE – TICHKA – MARRAKECH
  • 7 HOURS DRIVE
Wake up early to discover the magic of a desert sunrise (optional). Then, have breakfast before getting back in the saddle of your camel for the return trip to the main road
Returning by dromedary to Zagora to catch the minibus, then taking the way to Ouarzazate via the valley of the Draa and Agdez (lunch on the way).
Back to Marrakech in the Evening around ~ 18:00 or 19:00.
